I'm not quite sure what's going on with my computer. I just got a replacement 6600GT from Chaintech about 3 weeks ago and everything went off without a hitch. I installed the current drivers and changed nothing. Now, for some reason, every time I try to play ANY type of video in either a web browser or in a media player program, the program that its running in crashes. This is kinda ****ing me off because I can't seem to find a solution. I've already run Adaware and PC-Cillin scans 2 times, and nothing has come up that I haven't fixed. I'm going to run them again tonight when I go to sleep, maybe the 3rd times a charm. Any suggestions?
So they were playing three weeks ago and now they are not, or they haven't played since you installed the 6600gt?

Have you tried downloading the newest version of media player or downloading the all the updated codecs from microsoft?

It's not a WMP problem. ANY program that I run videos in (Quicktime, DivX, Winanp) crashes. I'll try installing some codecs though, maybe it will help.

I think it may be a driver problem for you video card. You are in windows right now using your video card right? So it's not the hardware. I has to be drivers or codecs. Try Xtream G's 77.62 drivers. They work great and they are good for overclocking as well. That's what I am using right now and haven't had any problems like that yet.
