so I'm deciding to upgrade my LOCKED Intel D915GAG to new motherboard.

I have a set of 4 Hynix DT-D43 512 PC300 that suppose to be really good rams. So I decide to keep them and upgrade to a i915 board.

So far, I've 3 candidates:

Abit AG8
Asus P5GD1 - (3 IDE with RAIDs, 4 SATA)
Asus P5GDC-V Deluxe

beside the fact that the P5GDC-V deluxe can support DDR2 for future ugprade (not that I really need one or else I'd go with DDR2 boards already), what kind of performance it'll deliver above the other 2?

Please share your experience and suggestions.

Thank you very much

PCI-X or AGP?

AS8 is a good board, although you'd have to mod it to reap the full benefit.

Straight out of the box if you want DDR1+AGP the DFI is your best bet, DFI LanParty 875P-T.

well, I'm stuck with PCI-E now, so It'd be LGA775 + PCI-E + DDR1 :)

If you have a PCI-E vid card, then forget the Abit AS8 or DFI 875P-T.

You really are limited to the i915 chipset if you insist on using regular DDR RAM. I would suggest either the Abit AG8 or the Asus P5GD1, but be advised the i915 don't like high FSB. Don't expect to hit much above 240 FSB. What processor? I had a 3.2 and AG8 at one time and got a rock stable 3.8 gig out of the system.
