It is rated for that at stock. When you overclock you go well beyond pc3200 unless you use dividers. If you are wanting overclocking ram you should either look at getting ram with really tight timings and lower bandwidth or ram that has really high bandwidth and loose timings.

The ram I have suggested does really well on bandwidth with considerably tight timings.

Which one in this list is the best for the price? Anything around or less than $300.00

I'm considering the Mushkin (http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=83433-3)

I want to upgrade my kingston value ram (http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80098-50) to a set where I can get my OC higher. See below for specs. DANKE!

Try this has good reviews and less$$.
Also you might want to try a pair of this . According to reviews it will run in dual channel and one reviewr has OC to 540 3-3-2-5 w/ a pair. also says for overclocking on the label according to the reviewer. Less $$ too.

go with the crucial ballistix sticks mentioned above..... by far the best 2Gig set you can buy right now.

G.Skill RAM gets the best speeds IMO

it's 2x512MB, and guaranteed to get DDR600 (300MHZ) at 2.5-4-4-8

G.Skill doesn't have 1GB sticks, so the only option of getting 2GB G.Skill is with 4x512MB. I haven't seen how high 4 DDR sticks can go, but I know the Revision E Athlon 64's do support 4 sticks now.

although, currently games aren't using more than 1GB yet. maybe in a year or 2 they will, but I would recommend just the 1GB for now, and maybe get another 1GB later (or replace both sticks with 2x1GB)

i'm getting the crucial ballistix 2x1GB because i've only heard good things and recommended by almost every overclocker. thanks for the tips.
