View Full Version : L1 Bridges...will this work?

Hey I have tried connecting my L1s with defogger paint but for some reason I can only access the 7.0, 8.0, or 11.0 multiplier settings. All of which are useless to me. I want more fsb, but the only other speed besides the default of 11.0 is 8.0, meaning to get any increase in performance I will have to add way more fsb than my chip can handle (chip is a 100fsb chip).

I attribute this condition to inadiquite L1 connection. So... I was going to just coat the bridges entirely with one thick brushstroke, then exacto a trench between each set of bridges. Will this work? Just making sure the trench wont kill my chip, but I figured it wouldn't as there are trenches separating the L1s already. Input would be appriciated.

I think that means you didn't connect all bridges successfully.
(Correct me if I'm wrong.)

I wouldn't coat all the bridges and then exacto.

Instead mask out the bridges and do them one at a time. Then check them with a jewlers loop to make sure they are done.

Takes about 30 mins with a steady hand.

That's exactly what I did with my Duron and work out perfect.

Hey I used the 'mask-it-off' method with electrical tape. Worked out perfect! CPU went from:

WAS--->
1100(11*100) @1265 (115*11)

IS NOW--->
1100(11*100) @1263 (133*9.5)

temps (YES EVEN WITH THE @#*^$@ ORB!!) are about 27C idle and 35C load (cpu burn or heavy gaming-max paine)

thanks for the help.
