I'm planning my future upgrades, and I'm wondering what to do next. I had originally thought I'd get another stick of this OCZ so I have a full gig. I just sold my other 2x256mb worth of ram though, and I must say: I don't see any difference running only 512mb. So I was considering maybe upgrading the 9800pro instead. I could get a 6600gt for under $150, and sell the 9800pro for ~$100, so I'd only be spending $50, which is what I'd spend on another 512mb... What do you think?

it's hard to say. many new games need more memory than 512mb total system memory. look at BF2, for instance.
Personally, I wouldn't upgrade a 9800 Pro to a 6600GT for $50 (assuming US $?). I'd do it for an x800 series or 6800 NU but not a 6600GT, it's not a very large improvement, and definitely not 50% worth of your 9800Pro.

True, a lot of new games "require" 1GB of ram, even if it doesn't say so on the box, they might perform at mid-high settings with 1GB, but some also need 2GB to perform at high settings.
But I'd recommend selling your current stick of 512MB OCZ ram, and either getting 2x512MB in dual channel, cause that probably would yield better performance, some OCZ Platinum rev2 is like $140 for 2x512MB sets.
Either that, or save up some money and sell your current ram for 2x1GB sets.
I probably wouldn't upgrade to a 6600GT, save up some money then sell your 9800 card for a 6800GT, if you save about $150, sell your ATI card for $100, you'll have enough for a 6800GT.

I don't think the NF3 chipset supports dual channel...
