I finally bought a new ide harddrive. But I don't want to reinstall my stuff. Heres what I think should work.
I'm running win2k.
new hdd is 20g. gonna do 15g/5g partitions.
Make a 2nd admin account just to do all this. I'm going to do a full back-up to the 5gig partition from 2k. I'll then put my new 20g as master, bootup then install nt4. Using nt4 cause it takes only 15min to install. Now my 20g has a boot sector, so I'll put it back as slave, boot 2k from old hhd, then do a restore from the image on the 5g part, to the 15g part. Now I can boot 2k from the 20g hdd and not have to reinstall all my stuff. Should this work, or does anyone know an easier way?
