i just picked up the parts to do teh VDIMM and VTT mod for my IC-7. I have BH-5 and want to get it to 250 2-2-2-5. i was thinking of starting around 3.3-3.4 volts cause thats seems to be what alot of other boards are set at. i kno my board is stable at 250, as i ran it at 250 5:4 for over a year.

any other mods i would need to do to achieve this? i have seen many cap mods, not sure what they help with though...

if you have any tips of have done this i would appreciate it :) hopefully i dont fry my board

thanks

Read the sticky in this section (small soldering), ad then get a spare mobo, vcard, or something with similar parts. Do the same procedures with spare wire on the spare item first, and once you're confident, move on to your mobo. Thats what I did.

take your time, and don't get scared. Triple-check your work with a magnifying glass, and thats pretty much all.

I just hope your really good at soldering and electronic work in gerenal.
Simple VR mods are easy.
I would likely kill a IC7 (cutting tracks, tiny soldering on SMD's, etc), when I read how tricky this is:
