Post You Boot Times!!!!

I want to know your boot times from the push of the power button the your Logon screen! not from the power on to fully loaded windows.. you can post those if you want also but mainly from when you press the power button till your logon screenie.

Also add some information about # of processes on load up. Any external programs you use. System information and or course Windows Version and Service Packs. Also add about how much you defrag and what program and also if pagefile is on another hdd and what size...

Here's a little looksy about info im looking at:

Hmm, I'm not so sure this is a good measure. My AXP 2100+ system with a 7200 RPM IDE HDD boots faster than my A64 3200+ system with 10000 RPM SATA HDD according to this measure. The reason? The Promise controller on my Socket 939 board takes about 7 seconds to detect my SATA HDD, while my AXP system immediately starts booting off the IDE HDD. I think a better measure would be from the Windows scrolling bar screen to the login screen, although even this isn't ideal.

Yup every system will differ expecially with harddrive setup (on different controlers), raid drives, and not to forget motherboards. Each one has differences. Fresh install with nothing on the computer I'm sure will really increase those boot times.

Fresh install with nothing on the computer I'm sure will really increase those boot times.Very true. For instance, my computer would boot to Windows in less than 1/2 of a scroll after a fresh install with no drivers. After installing ONLY the Creative SB Audigy 2 drivers, that load time increases to 3.5 scrolls. Creative's drivers are absolute crap, and this is just one of many reasons I feel that way.
