site is SLLOOOWWWWWW but sounds great. goldeneye on n64 is still one of my alltime favorite fps's. keep this thread updated! :)

read what i said....i barely made it to the main page and then i just x'ed off. interesting sounding mod but i cant read much because the page loads so slow.

saw that some months ago when it first surfaces - looks awsome - i had heard the project had beens topped due to copyright issues - but either way this is awsome

holy crap... its still loading!! :(

seems cool enough though... outta try it when it comes out. always enjoyed the GoldenEye 64.

I don't know what the whole thing is with perfect dark is though.... didn't like that game as much.

Who owns the rights to Goldeneye? Does Nintendo own it, or Rareware?

This mod was announced about 4 months ago, and began recruiting people for the team I think on hl2world.com around then.

Perfect Dark Source is also in the works. http://www.pdark-mod.com/ (note: music on the site)

Duke Nukem Source, a remake of Duke 3d, was canned due to legal action by 3drealms.

To answer someone's question, there are alot of HL2 mods already, including:

Plan of Attack
Garry's Mod
JBMod
Substance
Eclipse
Fueled

All of the above are in beta, or final, and are downloadable/playable. For a more complete list go here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=287710

And those do not include the total conversions.

Another interesting mod is the Black Mesa Source TC. THey are currently redoing Half-Life with HL2 quality visuals. And not the HL:Source stuff, check out the screenshots, as they are quite impressive for fan made stuff. http://www.blackmesasource.com/
