I don't know what makes my hard drive loud sound like it's processing something in the back ground right after I boot it's not doing it now though I guess ..Can you guys help what is the closest thing I have can do that and how can I remove it before I go back to normal startup?
That windows update oprion under control panel is off as well as the other things

Check the disk for errors, and if you have time, do a full-surface scan. If I understood you properly, then you might have bad sector(s) on the hdd. Mine used to do that.

I just did that from dos no erorrs right now I still have the same setting in msconfig and it's working fine but I would like to know what can be causing this problem from my screen above

Might be nortons doing a start up scan. Might all so system restore. I really suggest keeping "Scan regestry" and "PCHEALTH" on, they are the things that will save u from a big problem.

yea, you want it to stop with a guess from your pic, do this

go in to norton | options | other | scheduling deselect start norton program scheduler when windows starts up and run missed events at startup

ok then defrag your drive or replace it because it is noisy

no scheduling
I been having the above settings for couple of day no problems I'll try to to check on "Scan regestry" and "PCHEALTH" and I see what's going on then
