View Full Version : Headphone cord damage
Alright, I've had these Sennheiser HD212Pro's for a few months now, and I've been extremely careful w/ them and the cord esspecially, but just today I moved the cord a bit (normal) and I heard static/loss of sound in one ear. :bang head . If this cord dies, it will be the 4th sound cord I have gone through in a year (Sony earbuds...2 extension cords...plus this if it dies).
Isn't there anyway to protect these cords from being damaged so easily? While still keeping my warrenty?
Should I just send them to Sennheiser to repiar it?
Sennheiser USA sells replacement cables for cheap, go to their site (google Sennheiser USA, it's different from the regular site). Shipping the headphones and getting them repaired probably isn't worth the bother.
And if you break cables so easily, you probably aren't being as careful with them as you think.

Thanks Emon, and I dunno, it's possibly because of the bending on the one part of the cable...I have my cores pluged into the back of my computer, and they run straight to the front and up to me (desk w/ computer beside it)...but I still am very careful w/ not rolling the chair over it or anything now
EDIT: found the replacement! THANKS SO MUCH!
