Welcome to the boards lokeyman! It's impossible to unlock any Intel PII/III/IV or Celeron CPU cuz Intel laser cuts the multiplier and default FSB on the CPU-die (on the actual chip) before it receives it's housing. There are however the so-called 'engineering samples' which are fully unlocked but these are only rarely supplied to certain OEM's.

so U MEAN I COULD ONLY CHANGE THE FSB OF MY CPU AND NOT MY CORE/BUS RATIO?? IF SO THEN TOO BAD IVE JUZ GOT TO LIVE WITH IT.
THANKS FOR UR ADVICE LANCELOT !!!

Change the FSB to make it go higher, and change the CV (Core Voltage) to make it more stable. Also watch your temperatures.
wouldn't it be better to change the FSB anyway? multiplier can only work as fast as the FSB right? just curious as I am new. :D
Multiplier is important when you reach your max FSB till your PCI/AGP cant take it anymore you'll raise the multiplier for some what a better speed...
In this case Intel doesn't have the multiplier so I guess we cant do anything about it :)
