No video with sound card??

Ok atm i have a POS compaq computer with a 1100mhz celeron. Using a 32mb agp mx gpu. When i install a soundblaster live 5.1 i get no video upon bootup. I take it out and it boots fine. I tried taking everything out of the pci slots (LAN, 56k) and same thing. Is my card dead?? I pulled this out of a old system, and don't know if it was working in that system. Unfortanatly i don't have another system to test it on ATM, but does that sound like something a dead soundcard would do?

LMK if you need any other info.


EDIT: I also tried all the differant PCI slots.

Does it actually boot up, just not with video?
If the board has on board video, try it with that.
