Hi just got offered a job for Jefferson Hospital (a hospital in my area), they didn't tell me any details except it has to do something with administrative work dealing with computers.

The lady told me to go in Friday and said she would test me on Word, Excel and basic computer skills. I do know how to use those programs pretty good BUT is there something I SHOULD know just in case...?

I doubt it's anything in depth but what do you guys think I should do? Anything I should read up on before I go in. I am currently going to ITT for Network Administration.

I know this is not such a big thing but it'll be my first "real" job so any advice is appreciated.

It sounds like the job is dealing with using a computer to compile hospital type reports. Just make sure you can create spreadsheets with graphics and charts, plug in equations, those sorts of things. I can't really see them doing anything to complicated. Good luck and congrats!

well what I meant by plugging in equations was knowing how to use the formula bar. Under help functions of excel it will show you how to do those.

simple, lets see if i can remember

you can type just like, the equation..like

A1= 55*2(.08^2)

and in A1 the answer would appear

its simple, jsut like using a Ti83+

And, if you wish to use different cells, merely go =(A1+A2)
And that adds A1+A2

What gets interesting is when you need to add up the occurance of different words in seperate columns on a different worksheet.
I searched forever on how to do this for an Attendance Tracker for work.
I finally stumbled across the answer at the forums for www.exceltip.com.

Look in your white/blue/green Intro to PC Technology book from ITT, its like 90% on the Office suite.

I'm sorry to hear about the ITT schooling... I hope your teachers are better than the NIIT books... What quarter are you in?
