Xp + A7m266?

For my 100th post, I ask this;

I just killed my Athlon 1.4 gHz 266 FSB AYHJA-Y CPU. I bought another one from newegg, but the thought juist occured to me; what if I returned the Athlon and got an XP proc.
Would it work to put an XP in an Asus A7M266 mobo?
If so, does anyone know about newegg's policy on that sort of thing?

Yes, the XP's will work on the A7M. You need the latest 1005 bios.
