DiamondMax 10 Product codes

Does anyone know why Maxtor has multiple product codes for what appears to be identical drives?

The following product codes are all 200MB SATA DiamondMax 10 w/16MB buffer:

6B200S0
6L200S0

Same thing for the 160 & 250MB.

Could it possibly be linked to where they are made?

It reps month size and interface or somthing... duno but i know the 200 int here means 200gb :D

"B" signifies regular version
"L" signifies ROHS version (restriction of hazardous materials).

Otherwise, same drive.
