HI, i'm new to this forum and i really like some of the stuff you guys talk about!

I have been looking into burst cooling my pc. I saw the post about the 35,000 RPM dremel fan! That's nuts!! :D

Does anyone else have any good ideas?

To be honest I'm not at all sure that burst cooling is a good idea

Yes, that is nuts. A dremel wouldn't push a fan for long, and it would be loud as hell.

Anyway, look at my Minnesota Winter Cooling (*patent pending) thread. (just kidding about the patent) I made myself laugh with that...you do not need to.

My buddy just emailed me and told me to just put my computer outside, with the wires leading inside. I probably won't do that, but it is interesting to read about the lengths people will go to cool down their computers!

Here's another idea: ever heard of those internal vacuuming systems that newer houses have? expensive, but they could suck a lot of air through your computer with no noise...

later.

I think one of those vacumes would cause
you electric bill to quite steeply rise! :D

Sorry, I guess the request was for other *Good* ideas.

The vacuum would not be one of those.

Nevertheless, it is getting cold here in Minnesota, and my fan is sucking in some pretty cold air!
