OMG WTF How is that ALU score even possible????
Highest i've EVER seen is about 900Mb/s ALU. 1100Mb/s just creams the competition. Drooooooooooool.
Can you dump us a cpu benchie from sisoft plz skip, thanx.
BTW Is that the aggressive timings of the Mushkin 2400 stick getting those ALU scores btw? Best I've ever got was about 850Mb/s ALU 1005Mb/s FPU on my rig.
Gonna see if I can get that screenie too.
Memory timings are set at 8862222
Must be the Mushkin 2400. Didn't do that good with the Corsair PC2100.

Actually....1.87v is max for the mobo...1.75v is default for the XP 1800+
*** SWEET!!!
I take it you went to the AMD show out there this morning, Skip??? lol
Good for you. Glad ya got one. Awesome lil' package they handed out, eh??? The mobo ain't the best, but it suffices...:D
Right now, ya got me by 2FSB...=) You gonna unlock it, or super cool that XP? I'm still debating on that...
Congrats, Skip...I'm psyched for ya! Enjoy playin' with the "new toy"... :D
**edit...lol** I need to read better..=) That's not an MSI mobo he's using...but 1.75v IS default for the chip....
Thoroughly impressed, but not surprised.
Good job Skip the master overclocker :).

wow! Thats some VERY nice OCing Skip! :)
Btw... how did you unlock you're XP chip? The only thing keeping me from buying one of those right now is becasue there doesn't seem to be a "fool proof" way of unlocking the chip. I can't afford wrecking it.

Are you insane? Considering he owns the board, I believe it gives him the right to post where he likes!
Leave it alone.
Btw Skip, is that the rig you're giving me for Christmas? =)

Actually, Skip bought that CPU retail. He went to the XP roadshow but was a LOOOOOSER. :)
According to him, he just dropped the CPU into the Epox board he has, slapped the HSF and RAM in, connected it to a drive from another machine, set it to 150FSB, and hit the switch. The drive was from a Via chipset machine too. No tweaks, no optimizing, just plug and go. Pretty impressive.
I gotta go wipe the drool from my KB now.....
William is right, this should be in AMD CPU's. I considser myself moderated.
Hey Skip,
Congrats on your 1000th post!
I thought you won the XP at the AMD show...lol Shoulda known from the mobo you have it running on, that you might not have.

He only OC the FSB, the clock multiplier looks unchanged, 11.5 is the default for the 1800 (11.5x133=1533).
That is one hell of an OC, the current Athlon core seems to max out around 1700 Mhz. Most won't make it up there.
BTW, check this review out, the AthlonXP cloppers the P4 at their own game - heavy data intensive apps, particularly MPEG2 encoding. I am upgrading!!!

I cant believe those temps and those cpu benchmarks not to mention that memory score.
So is that XP locked 11.5 must be the default multiplier?
*edit*
Never mind I've looked around a bit and 11.5 is the default multiplier.

With all due respect, I don't think Skip would post a doctored benchmark pic or lie about his rig, after all he does own the forum. But more importantly, those memory and CPU scores are about what you would expect from such a rig. Where have you been?
I can't believe William moved Skip's post! now I don't feel so bad since he moves mine all the time :) !
what kind of cooling are you using?

As far as the temps. I'm using an SK6 with Delta 38CFM. The Motherboard is not in a case, it's setting on my test bench. Ambient in my basement was around 70F at that time.
