WHat is Alpha EV6 bus? I found that in the Abit offical page (KT7A section) and thatts what it says
CPU
1. Supports AMD-K7 Duron 600MHZ-850MHZ or future 200MHz FSB Socket A Processors
2. Supports AMD-K7 Athlon 700MHZ-1.2GHZ or 200/266MHz FSB Socket A Processors
3. Supports 200/266 MHz Alpha EV6 bus for the AMD Athlon & Duron Processors
So anyone has any idea on what is that?

Digital Equipment Corporation developed the EV6 bus standard. AMD adopted it when they decided what to design the Athlon around. It's the "dual pumping" you hear everyone talking about. You know, 100/200 and 133/266. The processor FSB is double-pumped internally.

I had my Duron 750 running at 266 just fine and OC'd to 933. The EV6 bus setting is preset in the chip but all AMD chips can run at 266 if one can overide the settings through the board.

It's still the EV6 bus. the 133/266 setting is just a faster clock speed of that bus. The bus architecture (DDR) remains the same.
