Need help. My laptop screen is Blank and I can't reset the resolution.

Allright, a friend of mine was using my laptop and she connect it to her LCD with svideo. Once she got that done, she went ot setting and hit the second monitor on the screen and it went blank. I tried everything, can't even get into F8 from startup because the screen is blank. It does load up into window normally but no resolution. I tried to use my desktop and access video setting with the keyboard and still no go. Anyone know a direct access to pick the two screens in the setting tab? Thanks

try using the external monitor again, and setting it back to the default monior with that.

When you connect the S-Video out to a TV, does it show a picture?

Boot into Safe-Mode and uninstall display drivers?

the exact key combination will vary but I think the fn key in conjuction with f4 or f6 will prolly do it. I would try with the keys f4-f7.

Booting into safe mode should let you fix the rez issues and such.

yep...it has happened to me before on my pc. i just boot into safe mode and set the res to something that works.
