Something seriously wrong with CCAPP.exe

yes, I use norton internet security (and antivirus), and it has always been sort of a memory hog using around 50mb of ram at idle (no traffic), but for some reason tonight, it was at 150mb, not it is RISING to above 300mb of memory usage.

besides reinstalling or using another program, what might be the problem?

reinstall...or use AVG antivirus and zonealarm. norton sucks.
on our other pc the ccapp.exe always crashed the system or didn't work right.

well, thanks for the advice I didnt ask for. I know I can use other programs, but I would rather fix something that has ALWAYS WORKED. Some people say norton sucks, I have always used their programs, and my computers have always stayed virus free.
