I recently purchased a Koolance Exos Al water cooling kit. The video card is now being cooled by the Koolance GPU 180-L06 water block.

Here are my results using ATI Tool:

Chip Type: R350
Engine Core Clock - 430Mhz
Memory Clock - 370/740Mhz

If I go any higher I get random lock ups, artifacts, graphic blurs, etc. So these numbers have been stable after long testing and after gaming.

My question is should I attempt to raise the voltage? Is it even worth it? I seriously doubt raising the voltage will gain any extra speed on this card.

What do you people think? Decent?

My card OC'd very similarly to that one, though it's an R360 core. I did a volt mod using SMD grabbers for the IC legs to eliminate having to solder anything onto the card, and it was actually pretty easy. My gains weren't as good as I would have liked though. The core maxed out at 435 @ 1.69v (stock), and hit 455 @ 1.75v. Beyond that, even up to 1.8v, I got maybe 5MHz or so, so it's pretty much maxed out. I'm on watercooling too, and the card never even felt warm to the touch, so I know it's not heat.

kudos.

Another thought about voltmodding. Your card should respond a little better to voltage, as it's on the R350 core. There's really no way to know without giving it a shot. I'm happy with a 20MHz gain and a little extra voltage over here.

That's pretty decent, because my card did exactly the same clocks. (It was R360 though :))

Thanks for the feedback. What's the difference between my R350 and others (R360)?

I think I am going to pass on the volt modding. I just don't see how it's going to make a dramatic difference from here on out. Going to keep it cool and safe.

Have to give major props to the Koolance water cooling kit. It's a remarkable kit! So clean and easy compared to custom DIY water cooling setups.
