I just recently bought the system in my sig. I assembled it to the best of my ability, however during installation I realized that I only had a 20 pin adapter for a 24 pin motherboard socket. The 20 pin fit in with 4 to spare. So I decided to try it without the 4 pins because I read on newegg that you did not need them.

Here is a link to the mobo

So I install my old fsp 530 hook everything up. Push the power switch, power supply fans start to move for a quarter of a second then stop. Dead.

Do you think it's because of the 20 pin adapter or is the mobo DOA?

I'm using the mobo in the p180 case and grounding may also be an issue, what do you guys think?
