Well today I got my 250....seems like it took soooo long to get to 100 then bam a few weeks later 250.

Not too bad considering I'm crunching with a Duron and Celeron

thanks I'm looking forward to it....6 or 7 WU's per day may not seem like much to some of you guys running T-birds out there but I think I'm doing alright so far

And the Duron is my machine at work so I'm not always able to crunch 24/7 on that one as SETI can slow down our invoice and other software considerably sometimes

Hey just keep it up - a couple years and many drunken weekends later you'll wonder where your money went, and have several thousand work units to show for it :)

It always goes MUCH faster if you're not wating for it.... I found that out as I'm waiting for 500th WU. It seems to be taking forever to crunch 50 more!!

6 or 7 WU's per day..... How I wish my parents would buy me a new comp.... Right now, I'm pushing about 1.3 WU's per day. All with a little Cele466. But hey! It's all the same in that mystical "SETI god's" eyes :D :D :D !

What kind of board are you running with your 466...a cheap processor upgrade may be in order. If your parents use the comp too just tell them it will make the internet go faster. You can get a new celeron and slotket (or socket adapter depending on your board) for less than $100 easy

Convincing my mom wouldn't be hard at all.... She knows I love working on computers, and would go for something simple like that. My dad on the other hand........ Well, he's got a tight budget, and dosen't think this computer needs to go faster. I think the most processor intensive game we have is "The Sims". Well, I also have Descent 3 demo, but I never play it cuz of the 10fps average. If I could convince him that it would be nice to have, and increase my "experiance" working with computers, he MIGHT go for it. MIGHT....

Oh yeah..... Me and the other 4 kids are on the computer so much they never get to touch the internet (let alone any other program), and have a little repressed anger that they never get on. Guess that argument goes out the window :D !

Your dad sounds just like mine. Ask him if you could build a computer to increase your knowledge of computers. Mine bought that and that is how I got the first computer in my sig! It worked for me.
