does new egg allow you to purchase a new motherboard and they take back teh old or do they make you return the old before they send a new one out and make you wait a week?

hmm... i think they make u send back the old one and make u wait a week. I was gonna send my back to em, but then fixed the problem on my own. But they requested i send em the mobo before they would replace or repair it. :D

i'll send it back but i want a replacement first i can do it with HD's mobos shouldnt be dift

with my mobo I RMA'd it and they told me to order another and then in about a week I got the money back from the returned one and the new mobo was already working great.

When you RMA a drive from a manufacturer, they can do that sort of swap, but NewEgg isn't a manufacturer, just a point of sale. So it makes sense they'd want the board back first.

Ask them to "cross ship it"

Which means u put up your cred it card deposit. they send you the product. Then ship the bad one back in the new ones box.

Most places do it but you have to ask

I just got a xp 1700+ an ak31, a sk6 an a gforce2 ti 500
from new egg.

My RMA took about a 1 month and 1/2. They said they were going to send the board to ABIT, but if they did, I don't think I would have gotten my board back. ;) I just called every week, and tried to be very polite!

thats who its worked with me.. ive only been into computers for a year and a half, but ive done at least 20 rma's... i seem to kill things alot faster then there suppose to last.. thanks god i always buy retail :)
