i have aquired a version 1.3 abit kt7a mobo and i flashed the bios and my MP is reconized as an XP...
that is all

this is from a 1.2 MP temp is 34c now

oooo it barely was stable enough to do much but lookie!
38c idle mbm5 kept crashing so i dont know load temp.

Good for you. But most of us have version 1.2 or lower which Abit says is not hardware compatible with AthlonXP. This is my last ABit mobo, I'll never buy another one from them.

I hopefully get my RMA KT7A back with the 1.3. I had a 1.1.:mad:
I'm like you Alex, never will I get another one. (unless they make the 1.1 and 1.2 compatible)

its not there fualt its technologicly incapable of handling that chip...
of course no one cares that only the latest versions of the a7v133 can use that chip WITH a bios update and the others wont eitherits too bad no one realizes this and takes it out on abit for not thinking a year in advance....

That's not quite true, there are several KT133a mobos that support AthlonXP. But the KT7A is not one of them. I want my $$ back Abit.

That is kinda bogus. I just bought my mobo 4 months ago an its a 1.1v :( . Well maybe we'll get lucky an they'll release a bio's update l8ter.
