Got Bored.... went to home depot and decided to walk around looking at random stuff... saw this really nice toolbox

http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/8311/stanleymainbox5qb.th.jpg (http://img245.imageshack.us/my.php?image=stanleymainbox5qb.jpg)

so I said to myself.... i have yet to mod anything and make anything into a pc case..... so i grabbed it for $35 with taxes....

came home and started thinkin of ideas... but before those here's the box pictures..

#1 - it has a nice little rotating drawer in the middle... so something of interest for modding :)

#2 - Open the top and you have a pull out thingy...

http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/6708/stanleymainboxtopopen3pf.th.jpg (http://img245.imageshack.us/my.php?image=stanleymainboxtopopen3pf.jpg)

#3 - than remove that thingy and you got yourself a nice little open area for a few things :)

http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/3747/stanleymainboxtopopeninside7ng.th.jpg (http://img245.imageshack.us/my.php?image=stanleymainboxtopopeninside7ng.jpg)

#4 - than the top box is removeably from the bottom bot for another open area ..

ok i started massacring the stanley box.. got the bottom motherboard window cut ...

#1a - this was the cut with the dremel... mainly to cut out most before i went to the blade for a better cut which i still suck at both :/ hopefully sanding helps

http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/8333/stanleyboxwindowhalfcut7qk.th.jpg (http://img121.imageshack.us/my.php?image=stanleyboxwindowhalfcut7qk.jpg)

#1b - this is after the exacto knife and before sanding... havent started sanding it yet to get all the waves out..

#2 - than i got the cdrom tray cut and fits perfectly... please note the cdrom i will have for it is black :) not grey... and i will not be using a floppy... no use for it really :/ never used one since i built my first pc

http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/7239/cdromholecut4ax.th.jpg (http://img121.imageshack.us/my.php?image=cdromholecut4ax.jpg)

#1 - on the top half im throwing in 2 fans... both are probably gonna be 120mm fans ... one on the left side of the top half and the other on the front near the... the front one will be used for a dbl pleasure.. not only will it exhaust the air on the top... but if you throw it up in front of you it will cool you off! :) lol

and

#1a - the front one... was thinking 80 but changed my mine to 120...

Hhahaha this is gonna be a nasty mod. In that rotating thing, you could probably have different tools for working on your computer, like a screwdriver, anti-static wrist strap, antistatic bags, zip-ties, alcohol, cloths, EVERTYHING! hehe
