New System, Maybe AMD?

i was bored and realized, i could sell my P4 and get a cheapy AMD venice set-up, and that way i have money for a nice car audio set-up

I got the case, the psu and all the other crap in my rig right now, basically gonna sell my wc'ing, and dfi and intel and what not, (dont not ask me to sell, i will delete your pm's, i am contemplating not gonna yet)

sound like a good system for under 600USD?

Maybe get a DFI motherboard? Or at least the Epox one? Those are both still cheaper then the Abit one, and would still perform better in OCing and probably even performance wise.

Maybe consider getting the 6600GT over the X700Pro? But it depends on how much gaming or graphically demanding applications you run.
