I got the non-console version hoping to do away with the intermediary, Electron Microscope. Obviously the non-console version (which, from what I've gathered, it less buggy) renders a 3D protien strain when the window is showing. But when it's minimized to the tray, is it still wasting CPU cycles rendering that 3D strain?

If so, what if I got the console version and used it like you guys say, changing the name from winFAH.exe to FAH.exe? Would Electron Microscope still work as it should? Would Electron Microscope still show frame percentages and an accurate overall percentage?

it only renders the protein images when maximised.

make sure to turn off the screen saver too.

EM doesn't show any of those, yet. The only thing you can do with it is start and hide the client. I believe that a 2.0 compatible version of EM may be in the works though. :)

All I can do is hope you're right, and that it comes soon. I've got some machines that are just burning for a copy of F@H in steath...
