dvd software ?

i have a new dell latitude d610 with dvd rom. i tried to play a dvd but get the error message that there is no dvd software loaded to play this dvd. what software can i download [free if possible] to make it possible to start watching dvd's on this dell d610?

http://dl.codecpack.nl/k/klcodec253f.exe thats a codec pack that will do everything. should be able to play thru media player or media player classic (included in the pack)
