Athlon XP 1600+

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if I need to re-install my O/S after I swap my old TB 1000 AXIA (non Y) for my new XP 1600 + ?

I'm going to use an Abit KG7-Lite and I've already flashed the BIOS to 5E.

If you want the new fancy features (like SSE) then I'm pretty sure you do.

I read somewhere about an Abit board, don't remember the model, that you do have to reinstall the OS for the system to recognize the XP chip. I switched from a 1.4 to XP 1800 with my MSI 6380 and SSE is enabled and the chip is recognized as an "XP" I think the article I read on this was at http://www.amdmb.com
