View Full Version : ok this is bad
my computer crashed on frame 190 out of 200. on 1.34 it would have picked up where it left off when i started folding again. it doesnt look like it in version 2. it started the protein over from the begining.
yea this is poor. i'm almost ready to go look for e.t.
Grin, one day of fah2 and your disheartened already?
Gees, give it a chance.
I've stoped and started the client a bunch of times. Both by crashing it and using control+break. the client has recovered all the work EVERY time.
Lets give the boys and girls down at stanford a chance to work out a few bugs.
:)
same thing happened to me....except it was on 250/400 frames :(
hope they fix this bug soon....
hmm...yeah i think it was my fault....rebooted with out officially closing it
windows prolly just didn't give it a chance to save....the last version didn't have a problem with getting these back...maybe lose a few frames or something....i trust stanford will get things back up to speed again....:)

i have version 2.1 and it looks like it picked up right where it left off :D
hmm...i closed it so i could play some UT....when i re-opened it the prog started downloading a new work unit
Are you guys using the text version? This same thing happened to me several times when I tried it. Lost a wu 18 out of 20 done. Been sticking with the regular console since then, except for the multiple client test.
im using the full program right now. the guys at stanford must be smoking some damn good crack because they sure did a hell of a bad job on this version.
