Hello!
I have a problem that made me loose my sleep.

After having connected my wife's hard drive to my PC--slave, I wanted to reconnected the same har drive to the pc from which I took it--after setting the jumper correctly. At that point, my problems began! My PC does not detect the HD or says that there is not booting drive.

I took the hard drive back to my PC, reconnected it: the same TROUBLE. Now, I have "successfully broken the 2 PC", has my wife keeps saying. None of them would boot. Impossible to re-install Windows xp pro. Please, somebody help me.

PC Specifications:

PC1:
AMD Athlon 3200 (MSI K08 Neo Platinum)

PC 2:
Dell Dimension 4600

so it does not get detected in the bios?
i'm sure you've already ensured all cables are seated?
does the drive spin up when it is powered on?
