Laptop screen for pc

Is there a way to use my laptop screen (without breaking it apart) as the monitor for my computer? Im in the boarding house and i dont want to bring in my lcd but at the same time i dont have space for a crt screen.

no, if you do a quick search this has been asked a million times and every time the response is, no.

the truth is yes you can if you want to spend 3-4times the value the cost of a 17" lcd you can get a controler that will let you.
