the hard drive led stays solid, but i havent changed anything inside, it happened by itself, the connection is perfect

you can consider this cas closed because, the problem is the hard drive, its dying

Ugh. I'm having the same problem with a Maxtor 120Gb. Brand new, I've only used it for maybe 3 months. Complete with random disk access (like it can't find what it wants) and lockups.

Sigh.
