Opera 8.5 is now available free, without the banner advertising.

I haven't used it for a few years so I thought I would give it a try. Wow, seems much faster than Firefox.

Here is the info page- http://www.opera.com/index.html

The only Plugin/Extension I wish it had (like Firefox) is the All-In-One Highlighter for searches.

Here's a Snapshot of my Desktop with Opera running-

i never have personally liked opera. seems buggy to me compared to IE and firefox. i just recent,y tried it and it had to get ctrl alt deleted a couple times out of a week. i always go looking for something better but end up back with IE.

If you like IE base browsers, you might want to check out Slimbrowser-

It uses the IE engine but has many of the features associated with Firefox-

- Tabbed Browsing
-Google Search window

You can check it out here- http://www.flashpeak.com/sbrowser/
