I am reinstalling windows xp pro and after doing the f6(obvious)-wait for stuff to load-get the silicon image si3x12 sata/raid winxp drivers from floppy, ok-make new partition, ok- its ready to start copying files from the cd. but just before it does that it has to copy drivers from the floppy (again?). then it says "setup cannot copy the file: si3112r.sys" i can retry but that never does any good, skip the file and other files it cant "copy" from the floppy drive which I know are there, the latest of the right ones, and are good copies straight from either ASUS or Silicon Image websites (tried both asus and siliconimage, both not working). so if i skip all the sata drivers from the floppy it reads/copies all the winxp setup files from the xp cd to the drive, then it reboots but comes up w/ a bsod. I put everything back to stock speeds, volts, latency, whatever so i know its not that.. now the really weird part is it worked just dandy when i reinstalled windows a couple months ago w/ the exact same copies.
I have an asus a7n8x-e deluxe, 1gb pc3200, sapphire x800, 200gb sata maxtor. please let me know if theres any thing else i should list and some suggestions on what to do to get around/fix this problem.
