I finally broke 1000 on 3D Mark 2001. I know you're probably thinking so what, that's a low score. It's not even that big for my card but it's big for me. I have a nVidia TNT2 m64 (going to upgrade soon) and to get over 1000 is exciting especially since I'm new to overclocking of any type. My case has horrible cooling and i was never able to overclock it past 150/170 (125/145 is default). I should probably explain that I wasn't looking for stable since i'm not going to have the card much longer. I also wasn't looking for any permanent mods on the card because i'm giving it to my friend when i get my new card and the only cooling on the card is a crappy heatsink and no fan. So i opened the case and tried overclocking. Got it to 155/175. There's got to be a way to cool it better. I get my room as cold as i can (i'm cold) and dismantle the case fan. I figure my rooms cold enough. So i start 3d Mark with a 160/180 setting. I'm now holding the case fan and directing it toward the video card's heatsink. 3d Mark runs without a glitch and comes up with a score of 1026(my original score was 714) before any o'cling. My arm is falling off now but i'm happy. I have a 1024*768 32 bit res. and 24bit z-buffer and 32 bit texture format. Sorry about the long post that has absolutely no importance or benefits lol.
