I currently have a project running that really needs a static ip address and decent bandwidth.
I have a few options-
1) use dynamic DNS to access instead of static ip (Bad solution for many reasons...not considering this, just posted it to get rid of it as an option. ;))
2) better/faster Internet connection: I have done some checking, and the best I can get where I am is Verizon FIOS Business for $100 a month. That's $55 more than I pay now, and a hefty sum.
3) Outside webhost. I have priced a wide range and contacted quite a few, most of whom did NOT reply in a timely fashion so will NOT get my business.
Of the two that replied quickly, only one is less than extremely expensive but they are so cheap when compared to almost all the other hosts I looked at, I am skeptical...
Nexcess.net replied within 15 minutes to my initial email and within hours had sent another reply with more info; quick pre-sales response is a very good sign.
I am hesitant though, without hearing any "buzz" about them, and have found little in the way of press/reviews anywhere.
Does anyone have any experience dealing with nexcess.net?
