what heppened to my transfer rate?

i noticed a huge performance decrease in my transfer rate with W2K professional and am wondering if thats not being caused by the ACPI IRQ management. My nic is sharing its IRQ with other 3 or 4 devices! Could that be the problem?

transfer rate via what medium? ethernet? dial-up modem? you probably should tweak the registry using one of the tweaks from dslreports.com

ADSL. havent ever tweaked on W98SE other than setting up with dr.TCP.
i could actually be sure reinstalling W98SE and notifying if it is an operating system issue but that would be a lot of work.
i am very thankful for any help concerning this IRQ stuff. it must be that, isnt it?

dude to tell you the truth, i dont really know but my guess would be the IRQ sharing, try using a different PCI slot, if its a NIC
