just wondering.
I finally overclocked my CPU, was 550MHZ, overclocked it to 808MHZ and my temps stay right at 22.3 for temps 2 & 3, and temp 1 gets 24.4. all temps Cel. Are my temps going to high?

Those temps sound like they are taken while CPU is sitting idle. The true test is when CPU is under full load. My rule of thumb is to try and stay under 40c. Over that my P3 gets a little flaky. I beleive at around 50c you are running a good risk of causeing damage.

I ran 3DMark 2001, and checked the temp right after. I don't know what program to run to do a full system stress test.

Thx for the quick reply too. :)

Well,you've done a very good o\c.
I assume your cpu is an fcpga 550e...am i right?
If it is,then we have the same o\c at 147mhz fsb.

The temps you posted are in iddle and not full load.
Try using the burn-in test in Sandra 2001 with the
"cpu and multimedia" benchmarks enabled for at least
1 hour.

Then check your temps.
Shouldnt be more than 45 C.

Take care.

I bet if you ran a SiSoft Burn In.. Your Full Load Temp would be mid 40's ....

Your comp wouldn't get that hot ...

Try a combo of SiS burn in and Seti... or Folding..

yep, the CPU is a 550E, and I have to overclock it with CPUFSB cause I have a POC (Piece Of Crap) motherboard/Bios from Hewlett parckard :( . I just downloaded Sisoft Pro so I'm going to do the burn in test. Thx for the replies :)

ok, temps started out at 1. board/32.9 C, 2. CPU 29.7 C, 3. Power 26.8 C. ending temps were 1/ 32.9 C, 2/ 29.7 C, 3/ 29.1 C. thats using Sisoft burn in and CPU and Multimedia check marked. could my temp senors be wrong? anyway to test them? I am using CPUCool to watch temps, and Sisoft to watch temps. both are dead on same.
