all of a sudden, my computer decides to run in fail-safe mode..... it tells me every time i turn it on, to check CMOS BIOS settings... i tried to load optimized defaults, but it did nothing... my computer runs fine in fail safe (i think) but its really annoying to have that message pop up every time i power on my PC.... any suggestions?

how old is the motherboard? could the cmos battery need to be replaced? is the clear cmos jumper in the wrong position?
