What should I expect of of this CPU

Hello new to the forms they have been very helpful just reading other posts.

I just put this system up and I thought I try to overclock the FSB
just to see what might happen. Well 146 is as high as it goes on
my KA266-R so I tried it.

Its stable at 1539 (146x10.5) with vcore of 1.75 its a factory unlocked AYHJA -Y. Air temp is 28C Case temps of 31C and 51 loaded for the CPU. I will soon have a WB installed and start going for the 1.83Ghz This board will let me get.

As this jumped to 1539 easy without upping the Vcore does that
show promise for getting this system up to 1.8?

Should I expect good things or is it still a crap shoot?

Well 1.8 is a stretch, but if your at 1.5+ so far at default vcore, and got watercooling on the way id say 1.7 is a sure thing. Just watch temps and youll probably need to do a volt mod to the board to get 1.8 but watercooling can handle those temps

KA266-R Will do 1.85 Vcore Max without moding Lets hope 1.85 will do it for me.

I have installed my waterblock. I need to work on airflow to help
reduce case temps. That should help drop CPU temps a little more.

I will start stepping up the CPU more soon. I want to make sure everything is ok before move up a step.

Well I Got it running at 1612 now stable. Had to move the Vcore
up to 1.80 now to get it stable had a few rebooting problems. That seemed to help.

Am not sure why I could not get 1686 11.5X146 Would not
load windows was giving me VDX error about 3 and device B or
some such that I needed to reload windows. Vcore at 1.85 mb max

I was able to get 1752 to post but could not get as far into windows. Vcore 1.85

One thing was a bit odd at 1752. My PS shut down at one point I had to wait a few mins before it would start back up. I might be
at the edge of this PS 300Watt unit. Am not sure about this as the
voltages are very stable in MBM. Though a good PS will be should be stable even running near its max.

Also I can raise my Memory voltage up from 2.5Vs but its been running at the same buss speed fine anyway when I was running at 1533. 10.5x146

I might be able to get higher if I drop the bus speed down but overall I would think the higher bus speed would be better then a few more mhz at this stage.

Any thoughts on something I might have missed?

if your psu shut off then you need a higher psu, that happened to me and when i got a 400Watt one i could oc it better!
