I read an article at SysOpt.com, "Case Cooling Guide," by Robert Richmond. On pg. 4, it talks about "Additional Case Cooling." It mentions four extra types of fans: (1) card fans, (2) blower fans, (3) slot cooler, and (4) baycoolers.
What's the best for me? I want to use this as a cooler for my video card. I'm planning to set up one 80mm fan in the lower front of my case, one 80mm fan in the upper back of my case, a Blue Orb on my video card, and heatsinks on my video RAM. I want to have some cooling in between the two 80mm fans.
I have an ABIT Siluro GF2 MX400, so it takes up the AGP slot. I don't think there's enough room for a blower at the top of the card (I have an ABIT BE6 Slot 1 mobo with an adapter, so it sticks out and blocks the top of the video card). However, there's enough empty PCI slots for blowing on the bottom.
The slot cooler looks good, but I'm a newbie at overclocking and would like to get your recommendations. Thanks!
