Anyone know why Stanman is Folding for DSL Team Helix? Could we coax him back. I had thought he quit because of power issues, but that was before my time.
If it is a long, flame ridden story, please give me the Cliff Notes version.

I had seen that before, but then someone said that it was related to power issues. Must not have been the case.
Are the people that irritated him so much still here? It seems like the attitude of this team / board has gotten better by leaps and bounds recently.
Does anyone have a good relationship with Stanman that might be able to give OC.com another shot?
heh- I was just about to post that same link. That was an unhappy time around here. I was brand-new and totally commited to folding and wondering if I had made a BIG mistake in joining this team. I'm glad I stuck it out; things have returned to normal and the level of enthusiasm here now is great!
He has been doing a little WU's for AOA also, not much though. I think he's just wandering from team to team, giving a little WU's here and there.
Just my 2 cent.
Stanman started folding for dsl reports just after would71 left. Before that he was folding for aoaforums.

How are you guys doing with 2.0? I have about ten rigs on it with no problems. Now that it has cooled off my electric was only $200.00 this month. ANYWAY, I have been folding for DSL Reports but I see a lot of crying about stupid issues with 2.0 etc. I notice That O/C is creeping up on them. So is this team going to go all out with 2.0 or what? I plan on folding on a top team or folding for myself with 2.0 I don't care which. :)

Nice to see you again. I for one would love to see you folding for overclockers.com again, but I also understand you had your reasons for leaving. I would hope you would consider joining the team again, but no pressure. You helped keep lot of people motivated, and inspired several others to fold, or fold more. Whatever you decide to do, thanks for what you have done, already.

i dislike the 2.0 client but i'm sticking with it because my friends at oc.com need the help. being number one would be nice but i fold for the team and not for the number.
As for folding for a top team, if you subtract your WU's from DSL Reports, they fall to 7th place. If you add them to ours, well there's some chance of catching Alliance Francophone. So unless you speak French...

Hello. I am fairly new to the team, been here a few months or so.
I for one would love to have you back folding for OC.com. Our team could use the help, not just in the stats but in the forums as well, helping / inspiring others, etc.
Things have been really great around here and I think you'd like the atmosphere. ;)
But, I also was not around for the "darker days" of the team so I will not profess to understand your reasons for leaving before.
I will say that this is a great team and we'd love to have you back.

Nihili brought up a good point. We are doing great in the stats right now. If there are improvements in the client I wonder if it would be possible to take the #1 spot ahead of Team Default. ;)
Well, maybe that's a bit much, but the Alliance Francophone team would be within reach.
Definately would love to see you fold for us again stanman. Like people said you inspired a few around here including me.

It would be great if you came back. I just switched over to 2.0 and everything is going alright after a minor glitch with the display.

Stanman, I checked out your link. It looks to me that you are no longer folding for DSL. It looks like you are folding by yourself, at the present time. Would you like to fold on a team? Our team? Like I said before, I would love to see you folding for overclockers.com again.

I was here before the trouble started and at the time I cared less what was going on at first. Then I noticed how it was affecting the team and I was sad, I even considered finding a new team, but in the end I'm still here. Folding away on my 2 systems(both on 2.0)a 500mhz k6-2 and a 700@868 duron. My secondary system is almost ready to be upgraded soon as I have the spare cash to buy CPU and DDR ram. Have 2 ecs k7s5a laying here still in the box they were shipped in awaiting their turn to become folding boxes. I couldn't figure out where our best folder went too. I checked everytime I checked my own stats to see if Stanman was back. I still would like to see you back, but honestly I don't care since the main reason to Fold isn't for stats, but to help find the CURE. Btw please check out a post i started not long ago in which I did some number crunching. The way i did it by dividing the number of WU's produced among the active members for the week we were the 2nd producer.

For production average among active producers only DSL had a better average....and Although I didnt post it at the tiem without your help we would have out produced them as well. I felt it better to not mention it as I'd much rather have a Stanmanless team that is happy and getting along very well than to possibly stir up trouble by pointing out without you we'd have been only BARELY behind at the time I did that thread.
In the thread if all our active members could set their site on our team average then I have no doubt we'd be top producer. Before I was producing between 100-125 WU's weekly I hope to bring that up to 230~ Though the new 2.0 stats are quire different and I for one liked the old ones better ;) I can't really telll how well I'm doing now :(

Check that out. I think [H] may not be pursuing Folding under v2.0. They're certainly not producing nearly as much as they had been. I think we've got a good chance to be the best and we'd certainly welcome back your CPU time.
I'm going to try to move all my boxes over to client v2.0 as soon as possible. Right now I'm folding on 2.0 with my TBird and one of the Celeron boxes. I'm going to switch over the other 3 celerons and hopefully the P3 and the P4 that had previously been folding for me. (Don't worry, I didn't pay to build these boxes. These boxes belong to people who are donating their CPU time to me and to the cause) I also am going to have a DDR board here in fairly short order that my Duron will go in to. Anyway, I say we give this a good effort.
