I need to find a porn filter. I have found two filters but nothing seems to work really well that I have been able to find. I found something called "photo no no" and "EnoLogic NetFilter". And with both of them running at the same time there are still many sites you can see that are pornographic related (with the pictures showing like usual). So what are some other programs that actually do a really good job of blocking porn or maybe there are some settings I have to do in the two programs that I have found? Please help. And one more thing I am in Peru so I don't know the availability of the different programs. So it would be good if the program is payable and downloadable through the internet.

Have you tried googling? There are loads of content blockers out there. Maybe you could use a firewall of some kind to try to help block that kind of stuff.

One (particularly evil) solution is called Saint Bernard's iPrism, and in essence, is a firewall running a built-in content filter, that can be remotely configured.

Just as an aside:

There are two ways of doing content filtering. The first way is to deny access to all sites except those reviewed. This, from the standpoint of success in blocking pr0n, works well, but even the trolls that work for Saint Bernard can review all the sites all at once. Therefore, sites (such as this one, as of late June, 2005, when last I checked) happen to be currently blocked under "Unrated Sites".

The second (and more right, but less effective) method would be to allow access to all sites except those deemed inappropriate. As you can tell, not even the trolls at Saint Bernard would be able to browse all pr0n sites and add them to a long list...

etc.

And the final point is...if people want to get around filtering, they'll get around it.

tools-> intenet options-> privacy-> MAX

That should fix it pretty well. If not, let's see there are a few out there though none come to mind, I assume you have small children you want to keep out of harms way. I think if you just googled web filters you would find something suitable.

covenanteyes.com (No Filter as of now, but the one they're working on is supposed to be pretty slick)
