Still planning.

Should I go for 2x1GB or 4x512MB DIMMs?
Obviously 4 DIMMs suck more juce than 2, but does it matter?
I'm talking PC5300/PC5400 DIMMs.

Also: Would the 650 (P4 3.4GHz) run stable at 4GHz with air cooling?

As for 2 or 4, you're rigght that 4 would consume more power. It's also a matter of more chips to OC and increasing the possibility one of them on 4 may be less overclockable. It's raw numbers - more chips to oc means more odds one of them won't.
