Hoping to pick up the intel retail edge package this october, comes with a 820 smithfield duel core cpu 2.8ghz, pci-e intel mobo, xp pro.
My question is... is a fortron bluestorm enough for this cpu? I do plan to OC it heavely, but not right away. Not enough funds ATM, so gonna run stock for a few months. I wanna reuse this PSU when i do upgrade the mobo/ram/gpu/hd.
First i will be running a stock intel mobo, the 820, 80gb PATA hd, single drive, 6600non GT, few case fans. I know it'll handle that @ stock w/o a problem, but here is where i am undecided....
I plan on getting the latest and greatest ATI gpu (guessing the x1800xt), undecided on the ram (but it'll be high clocking stuff), 74gb raptor, good OCing mobo, and a full h20 setup.
I am hoping to get around 3.8-4.0ghz out of it. Will the bluestorm handle that setup OK? or should i invest in something with a bit more watts? I am open to idea's... thanks.
