Hello
From my earlier post, i asked if i could put a XP cpu in my Abit KT7-Raid (100Mhz fsb) just for a periode till i found the KT266 board i want.
Well today i got a Ahtlon XP 1600+ an jumped it into my KT7 with normal bios settings and it came up with Ahtlon MP and 1045Mhz. and no way to change the 1045Mhz.
Out with the XP and on with the L1's like on my "old" Duron. Only this is a little more scary with laser cutted holes betwen the connectores on L1
I used some tricks from this site http://www.athlonoc.com/xpoc_1.php and filled the holes with my wifes naile polish, see on the above site why. and then connected the L1's with some (don't know how it's called in english)
but i call it (conductive repair "ink" for car rear window heater) it's perfect for this. But i had to do it 5 times before i got some usefull connections.
Now i can change the speed with my software multiplayer in bios up and down. Bootted and got 1245Mhz with the highest setting in bios (12 x above) 100x12.5 ?
Right now i'am running 1378Mhz with some fsb tuning, cpu 46 degress an standard 1.750V
Will try some more in the next days to see have long the fsb can follow
Maybe someone can used this information
