winamp.
go into options, then select "output"
it should be directsound, or wavout device...
change it to disk writer. select a directory. then play your songs. they will play about 20x speed, and just write to a wav file.

Well the cd burner software I have does it automatically. I just tell it I want to make a music cd and I move mp3s to it and when it's done burning I have a regular music cd. Actually it changes them to .cda files I think not .wav but that's what plays on a cd player I'm pretty sure.
are you trying to change to wav to burn on your cd to play on a regular cd player? if yes, nero will convert on the fly when you burn the cd.
open the wizard, choose new cd, then audio cd, and just drop your mp3 files in and burn
Adaptec changes it to cddb (I think). What's the difff between using that format and wav?

cddb is CDDataBase. .cda is CDAudio which is what car and home cd-players use.
Nero is decent for turning mp3's into normal music cd's. I run a different program. Mp3 CD Maker. Not only does it convert on the fly, which keeps your hard drive from filling up because it doesn't have to convert to .wav first, but it also regulates the volume so you dont have like one normal sound and the next song IS FRIGGIN LOUD!
i found a program on cnet called "shuffler" - a free app that is killer at converting mp3 to wav................check cnet...............

Are you able to put more on a cd using wav vs. CDDB?
.CDA is a .WAV file on a CD. Audio CDs use raw audio data (.wav) recorded onto the disk. I think you could just copy a .cda off a CD and rename it to .wav and it would play....
When I had Nero, it would convert automaticly from .mp3 to .wav to burn..... I'd say use Winamp. It's a great audio player, and can be used for doing this too!
